John Seery edited what will be a terrific book. Just received the page proofs for my article, "Mestiza Poetics: Walt Whitman, Barack Obama, and the Question of Union." Very exciting! Due out in December and published by University Press of Kentucky, A Political Companion… will be the first full-length exploration of Whitman's poetry through the lens of political theory.
